I love this Himalayan Salt block. Anything I cook on it has a great flavor. Since I have an electric stove I put the block on a round metal trivet so the stone doesn't touch the burner. I was only going to use it occasionally, but my family uses it at least 3/4 times a week.
It's a freaking block of salt, what is there to review? How about... I don't know how I have lived without this product, it has completed my life and gave me purpose. Children smile more, the dead don't die and I think I grew an inch in a very sensitive area just because of this product.
Its a very nice product and cool when tried. It gives this little bit of additional saltiness to products like fresh scallops or sashimi. Also good. with meat. Make sure you clean it accordingly.

I love cooking with a salt block. I used one almost nightly. This one was a gift and I know the recipient will love it as well. This particular block is a larger rectangle than many of the others available, and this is an important feature. I would prefer it a little thinner for weight reasons but it is the best one it there for a reasonable price.
Great for steaks. Wish it came with a rack I have to put it in a pan to fry it in and out of the oven but great product

I bought this for my dad and he LOVES it! He tells everyone he knows about it and all the stuff he's been making on it. His favorite is fish and he also loves the idea of letting the block fall apart over time because of the symbology of letting things go and letting nature take its course (he's that kinda guy). Couldn't recommend a better dad gift.

I can't believe how easy this make cooking fish! I have not had any issues with this. I don't ever get it wet -- to clean I just scrap off the top, wrap in a clean dishtowel, and store it. Candidly, I was super careful about heating it slowly for the first use, but after that I just placed it on the grill and turned up the heat. Never had an issue.
My neighbor told me about this salt block. She said if you cook a steak on it, it will be the best you ever had. I was doubtful but decided to give it a try. I put a little olive oil and some pepper on my steak, cooked it on the slab for 5 minutes each side and had a beautifully cooked med-med rare steak. IT WAS AMAZING!!!!! I cook everything on my salt block now. It gives amazing flavor to anything you cook on it.....seafood, chicken, vegetables, etc. My recommendation - let the grill heat this up for 15 minutes and then cook your meat on it.
